Statement 1: There can be many challenges that emergency managers and communities face during the recovery process.  One of the most important challenges to overcome is ensuring that safe, secure housing is available for those who may have been displaced by the disaster
Statement 2:    Disasters tend to bring out the worst in everyone; it is really easy to want to give up and accept defeat. It makes individuals feel vulnerable, alone, and cause anxiety for what’s to come; they must fight through this and be resilient. Resilience is a dynamic process of positive adaptation in the face of adversity (Richard & Dixon, 2020).
