Develop a Presentation on Body-Focused Disorders, Behavioral Disorders Sexual Dysfunction & Gender D
InstructionsThis week, you will identify a specific condition from one of these diagnostic categories: Body-Focused and Behavioral Disorders and Gender Dysphoria. Select one in which you wish to gain additional knowledge and skills. Given that these conditions often present in older children and adolescents, you will, as a mental health professional, prepare a presentation for a group of middle and high school teachers on the condition you identified. To begin, select a body-focused or behavioral disorder or gender dysphoria. Once you have identified your specific disorder, you will develop a brief educational presentation (PowerPoint or Prezi) that you would use during a teacher-staff in-service workshop to review the signs/symptoms of the condition, ways to approach a student, teacher, or staff member who may be struggling with the condition you selected, and an overview of the current best treatment recommendations. Length: 8-10 slides (with embedded speaker notes) (not including title or reference slides). Both must include properly cited information and properly formatted reference lists.References: Include a minimum of 2 peer-reviewed scholarly references (no more than 5 years old) (not including the DSM-5) to support the information in your presentation or brochure.
