Leaders of Tomorrow, a nonprofit organization, attempts to affect organizational change by partnering with corporate leadership at various organizations to teach them the value of caring and emotionally intelligent leaders to strong company culture. The organization has an open position for the President of the Leadership Pathway Program. The position includes leading the leaders of these organizations and requires a strong understanding of your own personal leadership strengths and abilities.
As a part of the application process, you will create and submit an application addendum that highlights your skills and understanding of the value good leadership brings to an organization. The addendum is a self-analysis of your personal leadership skills and behaviors. The addendum exhibits a professional narrative that presents and highlights your leadership experience and areas of expertise.
In a Word document, include the following for your application addendum:
- Describe skills and behaviors that can influence effective leaders attributes or traits, such as effective communication, creativity, trustworthiness, and delegation skills.
- Discuss effective personal leadership competencies such as behaviors (observable actions) and skills (knowledge and ability to perform as a leader).
- Identify individual commitment and engagement practices as a leader by reflecting on some aspect of a leadership position that you have experienced or participated in.
- Elaborate on how to become a more successful leader by improving interpersonal skills, decisions making techniques, conflict management, and team building.
